JULY 2024 - Project thermal drone survey at Burrendong, Oakey township with landholder Dr Eric Donaldson

In cold (but not absolutely freezing) conditions, we surveyed habitat along the Oakey Creek and sourced 3 thermal drone images. Returning after dawn, we located and photographed one koala but were stopped from locating the other 2 koalas by the marauding sulphur crested cockatoos.

A great result that will assist Eric in deciding where to undertake his next koala habitat plantings in the spring.
